Richard Margrave:
Political and Communications Strategist for Europe UK Trade Unions
Dr Richard Margrave is currently Director of Communications to the University of Cambridge and Esmee Fairbairn Foundation ‘Primary Review’, the biggest enquiry into primary education in England for 40 years.
Richard is a senior political and communications strategist, advising politicians in Europe and the UK, trade unions, charities and not-for-profit organisations. For six years he was policy adviser to Jack Straw MP. He has also taught policy making, media management and journalism on a variety of courses at British and American universities, including at the University of Oxford and University of the Arts, London.
He is the author of a book that traced the migration of textile workers from Macclesfield, Cheshire in the United Kingdom to Paterson, New Jersey in the United States of America in the nineteenth century. Richard has a PhD in economics from the London School of Economics.
